Α major event with high political value for the world of Research Infrastructures will take place in Greece, this June (27-29/06). The 65th ESFRI Forum Meeting which is organized by the "Athena" Research Center and supported by the Greek General Secretariat for Research and Technology (GSRT) will turn Corfu into an international meeting point for the world of research  policy in Europe. ESFRI delegates, high level EU officials, policymakers, experts and representatives from major European research infrastructures will meet in Corfu to approve the new European Roadmap for Research Infrastructures (Roadmap 2018), a strategic report which will define the European policy in research for the following decade.

Since 2002, the mission of ESFRI (European Strategy Forum for Research Infrastructures) is to support a coherent and strategy-led approach to policy-making on Research Infrastructures in Europe, and to facilitate multilateral initiatives leading to the better use and development of research infrastructures, at EU and international level. ESFRI has a central role in policy-formation for the European Research Infrastructures in Europe as it publishes and periodically updates the Roadmap for Research Infrastructures, a strategic report which identifies new vital European research infrastructures for the next 10-20 years and stimulates the implementation of these facilities.

The event will be hosted in the church of St. George on the emblematic Old Fortress of Corfu.  Τhe EB and other parallel meetings will take place in the Corfu Museum of Asian Art.

"Athena" Research Center -which participates in ESFRI’s administrative and communicative activities- is responsible for the organization of the Forum and parallel meetings. The Greek Secretariat for Research and Technology also supports the event.
