Excellence Centers for Open Source Software

IMIS has been appointed as an Excellence Center for Open Source Geospatial Information Software (GIS).

The Excellence Centers are groups in Universities or Research Centers that implement the project “Services to develop and promoted Open Source Software”, through multiple training and dissemination actions, across ten thematic domains.

During the project, IMIS will organize every year two cycles of training seminars and one Summer Code Camp in the thematic areas of GIS, Agricultural Development-Environment, and Transport-Shipping.
