Dimitris Mavroeidis is a graduate of the Department of Informatics at the Athens University of Economics and Business. He also holds the MSc in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Edinburgh and the Diploma in Translation from the British Council in Athens. He has worked for 7 years in IT on Information Extraction and Interactive Voice Response systems. In 2010 he started working for ILSP on Statistical Machine Translation and Repository Systems for MetaNet (a network of excellence for Multilingual Europe). He has worked on statistical machine translation frameworks like moses, language modeling and automatic classification. His research interests include (but are not limited to): Statistical Machine Translation (domain adaptation, translating in morphologically rich languages), Statistical Language Modeling, and Automatic Document Classification.
