The President of the "Athena" Research Center, Professor Yannis Ioannidis, has been elected as a Secretary/Treasure at ACM (Association for Computing Machinery). This is an important distinction for the professor, for the "Athena" Research Center and for the Greek research community.
ACM is the world's largest educational and scientific computing society with over 100,000 members - professionals. ACM delivers resources that advance computing as a science and a profession through publications, conferences and educational resources.This is the second year in a row that the "Athena" Research Center is organizing in Athens the ACM Summer School in Data Science. The "Athena" Research Center's community feels very proud and happy for President's election and wishes him good luck.
