Information Centre for the Mediterranean Cooperation

The objective of the project was the creation of an information Centre for the domains of Culture and Finance in country-members of the Euro-Mediterranean Cooperation. ILSP / R.C. "Athena" developed language processing technology, lexical resources (e.g. thesauri and machine readable lexica) and infrastructure and computer-aided translation tools for facilitating scientists in their use of the Information Centre. Specific tools for analysing the language of politics have also been developed. Using hypertext technologies, information exchange between the Centre and other similar information centres in the Mediterranean is being promoted.
